Is Lookoutravirello free to use?

Yes. Every guide is free to read, with no account, no paywall and no sign-up.

Do tool makers pay to be listed?

No. We do not sell placements and we do not use affiliate links. A tool is included only because it solves a real task well.

How do you choose which websites and tools to feature?

Each pick must solve one clear task, work well on a free plan or show its price openly, come from a reputable maker, respect privacy and still be actively maintained. Read more on our story page.

What is the fastest search trick to learn?

Combine quotation marks with the site: operator to search one trusted website for an exact phrase. The search guide has a full cheat sheet.

Do I need an ad blocker?

It is not required, but a content blocker such as uBlock Origin removes clutter, speeds up pages and reduces exposure to malicious adverts. Consider allowing ads on small sites you want to support.

How can I tell whether a website is safe?

Read the real domain carefully, remember that a padlock only means encryption, and check doubtful addresses with VirusTotal or Google Safe Browsing site status before visiting. See the safety guide.

How many browser extensions should I install?

As few as possible. Each extension can see the pages you visit, so keep only trusted tools you use regularly and remove the rest.

Which notes app is best for beginners?

Google Keep or your phone's built-in notes app is the easiest start. Move to Obsidian if you want notes stored as files on your own device.

Can I suggest a website?

Yes. Use the suggestion tool on the Say Hello page to build a message, then send it to [email protected].

Does the suggestion tool store my details?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to email the message yourself.
